We’re booked!

Is it October 2020 yet?

So despite our best efforts and careful planning, we’ve been unable to secure a DVC room for our October 2020 trip to WDW.

We tried both The Beach Club & The Boardwalk but we only need 2 nights and it looks like this isn’t enough for people to want to sell some of their points. We wanted to do something special but we didn’t want to pay a ton…..and booking direct for these resorts was just more than we wanted to pay.  So in the end, we have come full circle and booked with Disney direct to return to the Caribbean Beach Resort. We loved our stay in 2014 and haven’t returned since all of the upgrades, so we’re really looking forward to going back, especially with the brand new Skyliner making getting to Epcot & Hollywood Studios super easy. They are exactly the 2 parks we’d planned on attending whilst being on property! We are disappointed not to be staying in the Boardwalk area but we still plan on getting our Beaches & Cream fix, and there is something sweet about returning to the first place we took Sam, on our first family WDW holiday. PLUS there is the added bonus of having booked a pirate room!

From CBR we will then be heading to a villa located in Indian Wells, where we will stay for the week.  One week in this villa is roughly the price of 2 nights at Beach Club, actually a little less! We’re looking forward to spending time in our own pool and just relaxing.

Once we leave the villa, we are heading for a very special night at the Hard Rock Hotel at Universal Studios.  We’ll only be paying taxes for this room as we are saving our Tesco Club Card vouchers to book through Hotels.com (We have £135 so far and counting!).  Once we have had the night there, we will finish up with a final nights stay at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort.  We just want somewhere to lay our head for the last night and this fits the bill perfectly! We just need to book Hard Rock, Flights and park tickets and then we’ll be on countdown!

If you’re interested in how we planned this, the villa location and cost, booking rooms with vouchers and our plans once we’re on Orlando, stay tuned for a Podcast episode dedicated to trip planning coming very soon.
