Top 5 Unique Experiences in Hollywood Studios

Following on from my Top 5 Unique Experiences in The Magic Kingdom, we move over to Hollywood Studios, the former Disney-MGM Studios

Original built as a working studios, things have changed dramatically over the years and continue to at a fast pace, with Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge under construction as we speak, but that doesn’t mean we can’t find those unique experiences in this park

1: Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

Where else in the world can you find Henry Jones Jr and Marion Ravenwood taking on evil goons in an Arabic setting in a live atmosphere? The answer is no where except for Hollywood Studios. Stunt performers risk everything as they avoid boulders and planes alive with flames as well as taking leaps from buildings that no one should try at home.

2: Muppet Vision 3D

Another attraction that used to be found in other parks, but can now only be found in Hollywood Studios. The loveable characters of Kermit The Frog, Miss Piggy and Gonzo can be found in the 3D movie, but not only is a movie, but you also find some of the characters roaming around the theater as well as some great animatronic work. To top this off, Jim Henson, the creator of Muppet Gang, makes his final appearance as the voice of Kermit in this show.

3: Sci-Fi Dine In

Take a step back into the 1950’s, as you join others at the drive in and watch some classic sci-fi from the era, while enjoying a meal in your Cadillac . Watch as you see the likes of Attack of the 50ft Woman and Frakenstein Meets the Space Monster while chowing down on a burger, fries and a milkshake.

4. Walt Disney Presents…

Long ago, a man had a dream, a dream to create something, something that would amaze and delight. That man was Walt Disney. In Walt Disney Presents… you will find plenty of interesting displays showcasing Walt’s journey from film to theme park as well as current and future plans. Be sure to check out the film at the end of the exhibition called One Man’s Dream.

5: The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror

Last but certainly not least. Despite appearing in multiple parks, The Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios is set to become a unique attraction, with the version in Tokyo DisneySea being themed differently, California Adventure’s attraction is now Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, with Walt Disney Studios in Paris set to follow suit. Take a stay in The Hollywood Tower Hotel on a dark and wet night, before taking a trip into the 5th dimension and dropping 130ft down an abandoned elevator shaft. The Tower has now become the defacto icon of Hollywood Studios after the removal of Sorcerer Mickey’s hat and the closure of The Great Movie Ride
