Rumours of sequels to two of Pixar’s popular movies broke yesterday
Though we had heard rumblings of them last year, news came first about a sequel to Pixar’s superhero movie, The Incredibles, this time possibly focusing on the family’s young child in the first movie, Jack Jack, having moved forward in time, so the family’s two other children have now grown up. No director or writer is currently attached, but original director Brad Bird is working on the concept.
Secondly, news on a third instalment of the Cars franchise. Not a lot is known other than it is being worked on. My issue will be if John Lasseter isn’t back to write and direct, problem there is John is working on another sequel for Pixar, the highly anticipated Toy Story 4
The plan is for these two films to fill two already announced Pixar release dates, 22nd November 2017 and 15th June 2018
